Who is in charge?

Many people want to be “the boss”. What few people really want to do is the boss’ job. If you are ready to lead, there are plenty of opportunities and no need for a title or promotion. You have to decide that you are ready to be a leader and then get busy doing the job. Pay and other recognition may come later, but you will have done your part to make your corner of the world better! Places you might want to lead:

• Your home – make it a better place!
• Your neighborhood – make it safer, more beautiful…
• Your church/synagogue/mosque/temple…
• Community education – teach someone to read…
• Local politics…run for office or help someone else run…

This is in no way a complete list. It is just to help get your brain started seeing that there are many ways you can be a leader outside your job. Maybe you flip burgers for a living, but you can still be a great leader! The world is looking for someone to lead them…will you?
