There is a old saying, People who fail to plan, plan to fail. Do you have a life plan? Do you know where you want to be in 5, 10, 20, 50 years? (Maybe you don’t know about tomorrow?) Just as it is important to have a financial budget so that we plan where our money goes in order to keep our money from running away before we need it, it is also important to have a plan for our lives! Some people just seem to float through life never doing anything of meaning. Other people have purpose! They have passion, vision and drive! The people with a plan have purpose! They know where they are going even if they haven’t completely figured out how they are going to get there yet. You can’t be great at everything, so pick something that you love and get really good at that! It is fine to do things that you aren’t great at…I play tennis and golf once in a while. Just don’t make your livelihood depend on those things. Find that which you really love and make a plan so that you can spend your life doing that! Both you and everyone around you will be happier!

What you plan for isn’t as important as that you have a plan. Maybe you want to plan to have that dream job. Maybe your plan is to get rich. Maybe it is to reach a thousand people for Jesus Christ. It could be to have a wildly successful acting career. You might want to be a great real estate investor. I don’t know where your plan will take you, but I do know that you won’t get there unless you have one!
